PSA Senior Project Script (IMED)

My name is Hira Bhura. My Senior Project is based on Autism in children.

• Autism Spectrum Disorder, also known as ASD, is a developmental disability that is caused by the abnormal function of the brain. It affects the nervous system resulting in abnormal social interaction and behavioral and communication difficulties.
  
• A person who has ASD usually goes through many conflicts with communication and social interaction skills.
• It is estimated that about three to six children out of every 1,000 will have autism.
  
• Children’s unusual behaviors can be first noticeable as early as six months of age.
  
• These children go through a lot of peer and even parental ignorance.
  
• Their abilities to ace a certain task is beyond inspirable.
• These children diagnosed with Autism have a special talent they all adhere.
• Autism is nothing but another puzzle.
• There are solutions yet not many actions.
• Device implementation; such that helps these children become better communicators and gain confidence.
• This topic is very important because, every year the amount of autistic children is gradually increasing.
• Elements like classroom activities, one-on-one mentoring, and many other grouped facilities are available; there’s not much improvement in the children's behaviors.

I hope we can all put some effort into this and help these children.

Senior Project- Autism

My Senior Project is on Autism; specifically in Children. Autism is a developmental disorder.This disorder affects the social and communication of an individual. They go through very hard times in order to cope with other people. People with autism can be chatty or silent, affectionate or cold, methodical or disorganized.

This topic is very important because, every year the amount of autistic children is gradually increasing. Such elements like classroom activities, one-on-one mentoring, and many other grouped facilities are available. However, theres not much improvement in the children's behaviors. I want to implement a device that can help them cope with one another and improve their lack of communication and social as well as mental skills.
